3603 REJILLAS SAN ANTONIO, TX 78228-2738 Hello, The radio interference that I was trying to locate last Dec 18 in your vicinity went away a few days into the New Year, but has since resumed at almost 24/7 since Mar 31, 2012. In my 40 years at this location I have never before experienced so intense an interference of such a long-lasting nature. I hope that the SAPD satisfactorilly explained what I was attempting to do back there. I'd left there (leaving my name and address) believing that it had all been well understood by both you and Mr. Mario Salas, so was greatly surprised that the SAPD had suddenly becomed involved in this matter. Since that time I've acquired some additional equipment to enable better localization of this interference source. The latest results using that can be seen from the figure near the bottom of this Web page (which also recaps the entire situation) http://www.qsl.net/wa5iyx/RFI_2011-2012.htm (http://www.qsl.net/w/wa5iyx//images/ne-bearing-ac.jpg) Also, on June 18th I obtained the assistance of another licensed operator, K5AUW, and his findings are highlighted in blue near the bottom of that page. At this point all the indications are for a source on your premises (internal or external). Any more precise determination of this source requires added cooperation involving some access beyond the public street/sidewalk area. The possible devices that could be causing this are wide ranging - including (but not limited to) plasma TVs, satellite receivers, computer equipment, pool pump, battery chargers, lighting, security systems, HVAC system motors, and so forth. Even not knowing what the device is at present, its gross malfunctioning like this could still very well present a definite risk of electrical shock or a fire hazard. Depending of the policy of the manufacturer of the device, they may offer repair/replacement of the device under warranty.
